Something quite warm. It's quite cold.
A stripey scarf, for example (though with the stripes going the other way to Tom Baker's), seems to be fashionable this autumn. So if you like to be fashionable, and quite warm, that could be for you. If you prefer to be unfashionable, then why not consider a ruff instead?
