Interesting parking anecdote

Sunday my mum was here and we went to Blackheath for lunch, about 2 o'clock.
Parked on the heath and put a pound in the ticket machine. (1p/min, so that's 1hr 40mins).
Bemused to see the time on the ticket: apparently I was due back by 10.40.
Realised parking is free on Sunday, and instead of simply not taking my money the so-and-so had given me a ticket for the next 100 minutes of chargeable time - 9.00-10.40 Monday morning.
It wasn't the money, it was the unutterable wrongness of what the machine had tried to pull on me.
What did I do about it? I did what I like to think anyone with a laptop and flexible working arrangements would do. I went back to Blackheath at 9 Monday morning, parked the car again, and sat in a coffee shop for an hour and forty minutes.

Feel free to analyse me.
