Tesco, ergo sum

My local big Tesco is in the process of being transformed into an even bigger Tesco. There are big spaces where there used to be aisles, and everything is in the wrong place. And the ceiling is higher, but only in about a quarter of the building. All this is most disorienting for one who has been shopping there for 19 years, and probably means I have forgotten all sorts of things I usually buy. Worst of all, the café is closed until the autumn, and so I won't get my tea and Su Doku time when I go shopping. It's enough to drive a girl to Waitrose.

The one consolation is, the new store might have clothes in. But then they will be so cheap I shall worry that they have been stitched by five year olds in the Third World. Nothing's perfect.
