..to the Party of the Decade, and it was indeed a great party. Marquee in the garden, Pimms (again!), very superior buffet food and best of all, friends from all over, including the couple who founded our congregation, who just happened to be over from the States, as well as people I hadn't seen for about 25 years. And we got home not too late and I was sober enough to drive home the friend who stepped in at the last moment as babysitter.
And lo, what should arrive in my inbox this morning but an invite to another silver wedding party!
