I can't believe it, but I am almost at the end of The Long Weekend of Incessant Activity. Managed the school Summer Fair and the Party of the Decade on Saturday. Sunday was, as it should be, a day of rest and worship. Then yesterday I dragged myself to Lincoln's Inn Fields for our largest ever Wavingmeet (RL meeting of members of the internet mental health bulletin board I run). Amazingly, all six possibles turned up, and turned out to be just as civilized as they are online, and though brief (people had to get back to work/PR training day/industrial maths conference), a good time was had, eating sandwiches on the grass.

Then (after feeding the family) I went off to the end-of-term meeting of the Fortismere Inclusion Group, which is the parents of kids at said school who have special needs (we were going to be the Parents' Inclusion Group but we thought we'd rather be FIG than PIG!). Very pleasant time drinking pink champagne on the patio and saying a Sad Farewell to Mr Drinkwater who used to be Head of Inclusion, and was retiring, after being sacked from the inclusion job by the Demon Headmaster. Heard some more tales of DH's iniquities.

Got home and thought I'd take another look at the directions for getting to the group in Greenhithe whom I'm speaking to about depression tonight. Horrors! I read the email properly for the first time and discovered that this isn't an all-Christian group but an open one. Which means what I've prepared is in many ways unsuitable, and I've had to go through it all cutting out some of the Christian jargon and Bible refs. Now I've just got to drive there through rush hour traffic, give the talk, come home and collapse for the rest of the week. Except there is the four years' worth of filing to get down to...

PS Not sure why I have suddenly Broken Out Into Capitals. I think it's a Winnie the Pooh thing.
