The lurgy has just about fizzled out (though I still have this strange Marianne-Faithfull-singing-German-cabaret sort of voice). So I will be leading group 'lectio divina' this afternoon at church. Don't know why that sounds sort of rude...
I also survived son's latest birthday party yesterday afternoon, mainly by going off to a café while he and his mates played multi-player games in a computer shop. The Grouch got the short straw as he had to play the games with them to make up the numbers. Anyway no one cried, not even me, and Genius Brat is successfully launched into his 15th year (ie, he is now 14). I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He's almost taller than me now. And his bedtime has been extended by half an hour to mark his new maturity (ha ha). As if he ever actually went to sleep when it was bedtime...
