Of appointments and disappointments

See previous entry for reasons why I haven't blogged in the last few days. Among the joys of my life have been the following:

Waiting an hour for my sleep clinic appointment because no one had told the nurse I was there.
Three trips to pharmacy, one phone call, and two trips to surgery, just to get my repeat prescription.
Nearly losing my rag in church business meeting because really I was much too tired to be chairing it.

On the plus side:

The bookshop talk went well and I signed loads of copies of the book.
The lump in my arm is, as I expected, nothing serious and can be ignored.
I have a different mask for my C-PAP machine and instructions to try it out on afternoon naps first.
I have an appointment for removal of the polyp on my tongue.

And in the 'no surprise' department, the KS4 meeting was, as expected, a long pep talk from the Demon Headmaster on how academically successful the school is, how much more academically successful it is going to become, and how we must all lean heavily on our kids, especially boys, to make them get organized and do their homework and coursework. Yawn yawn, grind teeth in rage at the total ignoring of kids with special needs.

Finally a big thank you to whoever it was who alerted me to the iCal programme (I think it was someone on Facebook actually) as my complex and busy life is now totally organized on a weekly basis in purple for home and green for work.
