So last night we ate at the Outback Pioneer hotel in a buffet restaurant called the Bough House. We travelled there and back on the free shuttle bus which saved us from coming across any creepy crawlies in the dark. The meal was tres expensive at about £90 equivalent but was delicious and filling. My companion (Alan) had the kangaroo which tasted like beef and the crocodile which, yes, tasted like chicken. I had barramundi in an orange and mango sauce. Yum. We were alarmed by a cyclone warning for the Cairns area where we are flying to this afternoon. It's now been downgraded but it will be hot wet and thundery. As long as the only disaster we encounter is my hair we'll be OK. Talking of disasters my Touché Éclat has run out. This happened in Vancouver too and I couldn't buy one anywhere there. Hopefully I'll find a YSL counter at the airport or I'll finish my holiday looking like a panda.
