Good flight from Singapore but very little sleep and long wait for coach at Melbourne.
This is the plane we travelled on . Jos may be interested!
Spent the morning unpacking and showering then ventured out.
Caught the train for a 45 minute journey to Berwick to visit friends who have emigrated here. They could not have been more welcoming and it was good to catch up.
We had trouble keeping awake on the journey home.
Actually slept for 8 hours last night so refreshed today.
Coach tour of the city stopping at the Catholic cathedral, a park with Cook's original cottage
Then to the Botanic gardens for a lunch in the sun and a very moving visit to the war memorial. Great skyline views here too.
This afternoon we visited the Dandenong hills and went on a steam train ride.
