Two become one

Well today our whole group was privileged to attend and witness the wedding of Mark and Laura on the beach here at Palm Cove. The weather was perfect, hot and sunny. I had woken at 4 and got up at 5. Skyped both Claire and Erin, yay! Then we had breakfast at a cafe overlooking the beach. Our group met in reception then made our way to the beach.

I love this photo of Mark and Laura. They were solemn and nervous during the ceremony, the words of which were moving and beautiful. Once they sat down to sign the register they relaxed. Alan and I dressed up a bit. I had bought a hair decoration in Singapore to wear at my niece's wedding in May, so I gave it a trial run.

Apparently there were dolphins playing in the sea but I didn't see them. After the ceremony we wandered along the beach ,bird and butterfly watching. Then Mark and Laura appeared with Frank and another couple so we joined them in a bar for celebratory and cooling drinks. Headed straight for the pool when we got back. The rain has just started again and the humidity has soared. My hair is now extra shocking! No, no pictures. Here are the happy couple at the bar.
