rubbish.

The world is full of rubbish.

My life is too- but I generally tie it up neatly in black backs and weekly put is out on my door step on a Tuesday night.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning a garbage munching monster roams our neighbourhood and the bags are eaten. It is a very satisfactory system and, as far as I am aware, the monster has never eaten any small children or stray cats that cross it's path.

I myself, have not seen the monster. One morning I awoke and heard it, and saw it's strange flashing orange glow, but I dared not look in case I disturbed it's munching.

Anyway, last night the monster did not come. Another monster came... I think.

All I know is that when I put the bin bags out last night there were bags outside most of the houses up our road. (I can say 'up' because we live at the bottom of a hill.) This morning when I left for work ALL the bags were outside my house. I had to walk on the road to get round them as they were taking up the whole width of the pavement.

Did they all slide down the road, and in half the cases cross it unaided? Or is there another garbage gathering monster roaming our streets? What will it do when it comes and finds no bags to gather? Should we be afraid?

My friends, bolt your doors tonight.
