trains, planes and other origami from newspapers...

We have a newspaper dellivered on a Saturday morning- it's our weekly treat... all one of us (usually him!) has to do is wander downstair briefly, and then we get to read the paper in bed while drinking tea and listening to the radio (John Peel on Radio 4, if you're asking).

The only other time I really read a newspaper in on the train. Journeys home from London are good... the busy commuteers abandon their newspapers as they disembark and then there's a choice of free papers to read during the quieter (Welsh) portion of the journey.

Last Wednesday, whilst making such a train trip with my husband, I discovered the real reason why we buy the paper we do... it's always been his choice when it comes to the Saturday morning delivery, and I've alway been under the impression that it was something to do with politics or content....
But, no.

It slipped out form him in an ungaurded moment...
'There's a Guardian, Independant or Times' I stated as I wandered down the carriage.
'Guardian, of course', he replied, 'I can do the crossword, and I like the font of their headlines'

THE FONT OF THE HEADLINES?!
I had to ask... and yes, that's the deciding factor. My dear husband buys his newspaper on the basis that they use a nice font for their headlines.
What more can I say. It's a strange world I live in.
