Either I'm seeing things or the city I'm in has more than it's fair share of strangely-dressed men... Covent Garden has less clowns than here!
This friday, as I wandered through town I encountered not Superman, but Sillyman:
There he was - about 6 foot 4 tall, wearing black and white spotty trousers, a rainbow stripped shirt, a multi-coloured curly hair wig, and a huge red nose... if fact, the worrying thing was that it actually looked like his nose just coloured red- but it was HUGE! He had one of those squeezy horns and a couple of long modelling ballons. As I walked past (very fast) he was waving one of the ballons at a small child as if it were a sword. Unlike Superman, who was clearly and advertising gimick, this giant clown seemed to have no purpose- he wasn't handing out leaflets and he wasn't selling anything... it's all really quite worrying.
I'm going to start taking a different route home that doesn't take me via the centre of town!
