NHS inefficiency

Nessa (burntsienna) has been rejoicing on her wiblog today about the efficiency of the NHS. We live in the same city, attend the same surgery, go to the same hospitals - so why does she get all the luck?

Yesterday I recieved a letter informing me that I hadn't replied to a letter they'd sent me asking if I still wanted to be on the waiting list to see the specialist I'm meant to be seeing. I have been on the waiting list for over a year. Six months ago I got a letter asking if I still wanted to be on the waiting list - actually being seen didn't seem to be an option, either I continued waiting or they ignored me completely. I replied. Now I get a letter saying that they haven't got my letter and if they don't hear from me by 7th January they're removing me from the list. What does a person have to do around here to be helped? It took me fifteen years to get refered to a specialist and how they're trying to un-refer me!

OK. moan over.
