Yesterday afternoon at approximately 4pm, whilst in the middle of trying to work, I lost my connection to the company network. It just dropped out, vanished, went caput.
Then a colleague lost his connection. And then someone else. By the end of the day about eight of us were sitting twiddling our thumbs wondering when the bods sitting in an office far away (not) controlling the crisis would fix it.
Fortunately they sorted it out overnight... this morning all but one computer was up and working again.
Unfortunately that "one" was mine.
Right now I'm "working" on a collegue's computer, he's been out of the office this morning but is due back any minute.
I predict that this afternoon I will mostly be twiddling my thumbs.
I hate days like this!
