It's the middle of the Easter vaccation, you decide to take a break from the work you are manically trying to get done in time to go back to the office.Having evicted the local youth club that has somehow formed in your daughters bedroom you decide to take over the controls and see what exactly you can find on tv at this time, painfully aware of the truth within the Springsteen song about 100s of channels but nothing on.
Then you find it, an obsure gem which takes you back in time to the planet you used to live on. So it was today when I found the Brian Cant biography on the biography channel.
Brian Cant, the voice of Trumpton and Campberwick Green, grew up not far from where I came from and went to the same primary school as me, (although about 40 years earlier). So it was that I returned very much to somewhere I used to know whilst watching tv this afternoon when they took him back to the places he used to know including said school. All a bit bizarre really, but somehow very comforting.
