Well, after all the hype and marketing we are finally here. In just a few hours Germany kick off against Costa Rica and whilst half the world seeks to avoid the madness the other half will rush to embrace it. Me, well strangely not as bothered as I could be - that said I won't be avoiding it totally though and should England do well I admit I will get thoroughly swept up in it all. Pity Trinidad and Tobago are in the same group as England - I also have a temporary interest in them.
Hopefully at this point the non-footie contingent are still here because I know I have atleast 1 reader who does not do football, but does do prayer and particularly praying around the world. For that reader, and anybody else who happens to be interested here is the BMS World Mission contribution to the madness.
The idea is you get some information about each of the 32 countries and so can pray in an informed way for the countries of the teams playing each day.
So full marks to the BMS World Mission types for buying into the hype / catching the spirit in a calculating / imaginative way (delete according to your opinion - me I'll go for the catching the spirit in an imaginative way option).
