Searching amongst the dust

Dissertation - wonderful word, full of unrealised hopes from past experience, but this time it will be different - it will be completed and more than that I want to complete it well.

I am trying to do it "by the book" and start with a good literature search, but it seems that I am finding appropriate resources more by luck than through my systematic searching, (which I am attempting). Today I was relieved to find that my local SPCK has started replenishing its stockof second hand books (a good sign I hope). This meant that I was able to find yet another appropriate book, as a result of searching amongst the secondhand section. That said the number of appropriate books I'm finding is very small, is it that we only think lone parents exist outside the church or just that nobody has found them interesting to write about?

So if anybody can recommend any books which look at (or even briefly mention) the experience of lone parents within congregations, (the more academic the book the better) I would be greatful, but in the meantime I will be searching amongst the dust for a helpful few pages here and a helpful few pages there.
