I have realised that last week I forgot to link to some vital information , so apologies and just follow the link provided for indepth details of a range worship events over the forthcoming year.
For those of my own denomination here is our own schedule of worship.
You will see that we start off worshiping in our own building on 5th August. Please remember that this will be a special year in the region and so in addition to the regular special worship events which are arranged for 18th November and 21st April there are also visits to and from congregations in Colchester and Southend this season. In all these cases, due to the numbers of worshippers involved and historic tensions between the denominations one should be prepared for the authorities to change the date or time of the event in order to reduce the threat of unrest amongst worshippers.
Main changes to note are that our spiritual guidance this year comes from Jim Magilton and that whilst vestments for the events in our home worship space remain the same the vestments for those events away from home have changed.
Due to the changes following the period of pastoral vaccancy whilst we will be using some hymns of the past (ancient and modern) worshippers should arrive prepared to learn some new songs and see some amendments to the words of some others.
