I wonder if anybody has calculated the average cost of preparing for an interview (in terms of cost, time and stress).
So far I have done:
Preparing my presentation
Putting together the OHTs to go with my presentation
Gone shopping and been successful in finding a pair of decent shoes
Gone shopping and been unsuccessful in finding a new outfit
Been and got my perfectly good, but now somewhat old interview jacket dry cleaned
Found (most of) the documents required to take with me so that CRB check can be completed
Had my hair cut and discovered if you say you have an interview you get a slightly better cut than normal
Thought of my strengths and weaknesses
Panic & prayer
Still to be done:
Practice presentation (and very likely change content - again)
Discover train times
Empty handback of unneccesary contents and put in only what will be required (probably to find it won't fit and then have to hurridly find another suitable bag)
Take labels off shoes so that they don't look silly
Go through all the questions I think they might ask to make sure I don't sound totally unprepared
Find some self-confidence
More panic and prayer
Why am I putting my self through this????
