Bus Spotting (honestly)

It is no coincidence that the 1st series of Little Britain was filmed in Herne Bay, we are truly that type of town (well sort of).

Today we had one of the highlights of the towns cultural calendar - the bus rally . I kid you not it is truly wonderful but has to be experienced to be believed.

Besides being enthusiastically invited to view the upstairs of a route master we took advantage of a couple of the trips on vintage buses that were being offered for free (but with donation to local hospice encouraged). So it was that we went on a tour of our ickle bit of East Kent on buses of yestayear which had legroom (as Third Party noted).

There was the trip along the prom on an open topped number which the owner enthusiastically explained had been ressurected three times and then the trip out round the windy roads on the sort of bus that was just going out of service when I was a mere nipper.

I have to stress though that I do not own a tank top, zoom lense and stand taking pictures of buses nor mark off those I have seen & I would never travel out of town to attend such an event & so think I can say with some certaintly I am not a bus spotter.
