Went up to see the Kandinsky exhibition, The Path To Abstraction, at the Tate today with Rosamundi and some other people from SOF .

It was a very plesant day out and the exhibition was quite interesting, although I am not overly into Kandinsky's work. There were a range of pictures that I enjoyed but my favourite was Improvisation Gorge, partly because I think this may have been the inspiration for George and Zippy in Rainbow. My logic behind this is there are two figures who are moving down what almost looks like a water shoot; one of which is pink the other is beige & they bear a striking resemblence to the puppets of Rainbow.

Whilst indulging in a spot of retail in the gallery shop I noticed an interesting badge, which I resisted as it was just too cheesy. This badge was of a toy tractor lying in the grass. I did however indulge in a beautiful version of The Owl and the Pussycat, which despite being nonsense verse for kids is one of my favourite poems.
