Today I had my first experience of the cross channel ferry; an interesting creature which resembels a floating motorway service station with it's half cups of over priced coffee and warm plastic food in a restraunt in close proximity to coffee shop and retail outlet selling overpriced sweets and a range of other goods.

Our church group could be described as either having embarked on a cultural trip to Boulogne or booze cruise to Cite Europe .

However you decide to describe it though, it was an excellent day out. After our coach driver had given us an interesting and informative tour along the coast road from Calais to Bolougne Third Party managed to order us an excellent meal at a restraunt called, I think, the Cafe Parisian. The food was both tasty and reasonbably priced and set us up well as we then wandered up to the cathedral which with it's beautiful dome. Then within Cite Europe we relaxed with an ickle retail therapy.
