Getting it back together

As may or maynot have been apparent blogging is not to me what it was when this wiblog was in its youth. My life has become silly busy, rather than just jam packed, I have moved on and don't feel the same attachment I did in the past to this blog & I don't need to cling to it in the way I once did. Also I feel at times I have written all that I may usefully have to share & as I don't have time to search for interesting links in the way I did in the past that it may be time to stop.

Well, I was considering it & actually praying about it (I feel at times the amount of time I waste at the computer sometimes could be spent in more appropriate "spiritual" or family activities), but sometimes God answers in strange ways.

Something was there, when I opened my e-mail today, which made me see it's not about what we blog, or how often we blog it's about the fact we're here networking and building community and it is a very real community made up of real people rather than just sock-puppets or strange made up personalities. What we're doing through this site is building friendships & in a wierd way (because of some of the Christian networking that goes on on sites like this) building church.

Back in August on the evening when my mum died the people who were physically there for me were people from this site, who through our blogging I had found out had a similar love of folk music & so were at the same festival. There were also people from this site who supported me through the initial nightmare by text and on the phone, as well as dropping comments - because we had to some extent become friends through this site. I know that's kind of the extreme example and most of the time it's just the little things that mean it's cool we're slowly building community.

So am I giving it up or moving on? Well no, this Wiblog may be a bit more infrequent and lacking the insight &/or imagination that I very occassionally managed in the past, but that - as I've said - is not what it's all about. (Also huge thanks to Dave, Chris and the others who mean we have this resource - we really do appreciate it).
