Apparently freedom is a sweet word, democracy is worth going to war to defend and yet we are living in an ever more restrictive state.
Today according to the reports like this one in The Guardian we are seeing the end of advertising of apparent "junk food" products to children.
There is something absolutely mad here, food adverts - that are not nearly as dangerous as alot of other junk the media is pumping out are being hit (& so in turn will the quality of kids tv).
This is not good - we are already seeing the results of the health mad media / culture on increasing numbers of children in our society. Anorexia and associated diseases are on the increase.
As a parent I am increasingly concerned that I should be able to feed & encourage my daughter to have a balanced diet (which is a mixture of healthy stuff and complete junk) of my choice and not find this harder because the health nuts are winning the propoganda war.
