I suspect that some others around here may post about this, but today a few of us had great fun on The London Duck Tour , as part of a Ship meet.
The guy who was giving the tour was quite a good comedian, who had a particularly good routine on Postmodernism which he wove into the tour. Actually driving into the Thames was a wierd experience, but we really enjoyed.
After that I didn't observe Buy Nothing Day & took Third Party up Regent Street and Oxford Street. All I can say this was not a good idea this close to Christmas. Hamley's is clearly a place to be avoided at the moment if you suffer even the slightest amount from clostophobia.
I was impressed by the employee in the Apple Store who spotted me as a technophobe still living largely in the 20th century, leaving the store completely stressed out by not being able to understand their layout or their approach to retail, & managed to send me in the right direction with the correct term for what the box would say.
All in all a really good day out :)
