Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference in church - like having simple terms that everybody is supposed to understand defined to you, with appropriate examples. I thought I understood what a "rule" was, having read a few, but this morning it was explained and now all makes so much more sense.
Also we were given some resources to help us. Not a cheesy handout to fill in without thought, but a sensible handout to take away to think about, so we might just might be able to put into practice what we've been hearing about recently.
Also nice that our minister had decided to set up a mini-bookstall of good quality stuff which linked directly on what he had been preaching on over the last few weeks. (I was very good and only fed my addiction with one reasonably priced quality publication).
Ok, so it wasn't earth shattering stuff, but sometimes when you see good practice in action it's good to acknowledge it.
