Not sure what computer access will be from tomorrow onwards so let me take this opportunity to wish you all a really peaceful and safe Christmas and New Year.
Thanks to you guys for reading me & more than that thanks to you for just being around this year. As most of you know this year has been a tad challenging for me, both personally and, as has been less blogged about, professionally.
Still I want to end by focusing on the positive and so here is my top 5 of what I've learnt this year (in no particular order):
1. When it comes to the crunch we often have depths within us which we often never knew were there.
2. Community can be virtual, physical, or a mixture. Whichever way when the **** hits the fan people are there for you in ways you could never imagine under normal circumstances. Don't try and fight this - just thank God for them.
3. It is easy to misjudge people if you focus on labels and first impressions can be very wrong. If you give people a chance you may find out that things are never as black and white as you thought and that there is far more common ground you share.
4. Just because you have the plan sorted, it doesn't mean that it's not going to change.
5. Evangelical and Liberal are largely meaningless terms! Scratch the surface and many evangelicals are actually quite liberal and many liberals are actually quite evangelical.
