The Butterflies and the Wuss

Went up to London today and met with Tired & Emotional and Dith, which was cool. After they had checked "I did history" we headed off to the Natural History Museum. Whilst T&E and SB went off to do dinosaurs, Dith and myself headed off to do the Butterfly exhibition .

This is where I am meant to say I really enjoyed what was a wonderful exhibition full of lots of gorgeous looking butterflies. As it is I am happy to say this complete wuss, who hadn't clicked on that there would be no source of seperation between people and butterflies, managed to get around without freaking out totally. The maze and toys at the beginning which took you through the lifecycle of a butterfly were wonderful, but then you went into the exhibition proper. It was full of plants and butterflys and the butterflys were flying around. As soon as I entered the look on my face and scrunched up body language, said it all. The guys behind us summed it up when one turned to me and said, "um, are you scared?" My answer was a simple squeak of "yes".

However, as I say I got around with no screaming and only the odd jump into the air as something came near. This was helped by my companion who resisted the, justifiable, reaction of laughing helplessly at me and rather gently guided me around reassuring me I was ok.

Anyway, glad I went. Always good to catch up with people by doing a bit of real life and was just what I needed to take my mind off the move.
Oh and to update with the latest on it all, we are out of here in two weeks and:
Accomodation - sorted from 1st October, as of yet no idea where we'll be living during September.
Part time job - Not got one yet.
School - Know where she's going and they have relevent form, but can't get officially sorted until we have an address up North.
Church - Know where we'll proabably go, but things could always change
Fees - first year and bit sorted
Outcome of v. important meeting - ????, still no formal reply

Basically holding on really tight to the story of Abraham at the moment and to the fact when I moved down here nothing was sorted until 10 days before. Prayers greatly appreciated though, am starting to get mildly concerned.
