So the snow has melted and after a day of being stuck indoors we decided to trot around to the cinema.
Third Party headed into one screen to see Arthur and the Invisibles whilst I headed into the other to watch Notes on a Scandal .
I have to say that there is nothing "nice" about Notes on a Scandal. It is a highly disturbing film, but also an extremely well written drama with a gripping storyline and quality acting - well worth the Oscar nomination. There is no happy ending and I ended up coming out of the cinema unsettled and kind of sad after a highly intense hour and a half, where attention was never away from the screen, although at points you wished you were looking away.
