4 Recommendations Amongst it All

So there has been alot written about the whole women bishops thing, including my last post but within it all there are three articles I want to recommend.

The first, a blog post, comes from the CofE vicar who was the Interim Principal of my uni college last academic year, Miranda Threlfall Holmes. Now whilst I have to admit I struggle a bit with her at times because she is "the Durham bubble" personified I also know that she has genuine integrity and is truly passionate on this issue. Her post gives insight into how one of the women who may be directly impacted by this decision felt about the debate as well as about the consequences.

The second is a Guardian article from another woman who was certainly one of those whose name was being thrown about as one of those likely to become a bishop when women were welcomed into the episcopate Lucy Winkett.

The next recommendation is another Guardian article, this one from our local bishop, Alan Wilson. He makes some useful points but in his own unique way.

The final post is one from Peter Ould who is a relatively conservative social media commentator but who has come out as a middle of the road voice.

Between them I think they give a good overview of what happened. If you want the minority view coming from those who were opposed to women bishops at any cost Reform are the conservative Evangelicals and they have put forward this statement.
