I have a range of fridge magnets and a couple of postcards displayed in my bedroom, partly to brighten the place up and partly to keep me going sometimes. I have realised that I have two though that are more important to me than the others.
One is a postcard with a quote given by an unknown person saying:
Work like you don't need the money
Love like you've never been hurt
Dance like nobody's looking
The other key one is a fridge magnet showing the cadet maxim:
Risk more than others think is safe
Care more than others think is wise
Dream more than others think is practical
Expect more than others think is possible
Whilst I don't think for one moment I can actually live up to either of these they seem reasonable things to aim for.
