There are times that reading the free links bit of the Baptist Times I am reminded of why I am a Baptist. Their editorial and these two articles relating to the anti-slavery movement of the 19th century do just this. They don't seek to rewrite history and make life palatable, rather they seek to remind people of the truth and challenge us on our attitudes today.
