Middle age men seem to have a particular interest in Olympic badges, (pins).........the most interesting example of this I saw was a policeman who swapped a picture of his police dog for a pin.
There are disused tube stations around London which is possible to pass without noticing. When the facade of one caught my eye yesterday it had the most beautiful exterior and it made me want to know more about why they closed. Were there lines which no longer run or was it just the stations that closed? I think a trip to the Transport Museum may be in order at some time.
The Olympic themed exhibition in the British Library has an amazing record of the history of the recent games through stamps and first day covers, etc. I discovered this joy quite by accident when popping in to use a free toilet when wandering around that bit of London.
If you want to play table tennis then try going along to the tables outside the newly refurbished Kings Cross Station which has a cool sound wall.
