The entrance to the MK Gallery  is currently a face with a tongue sticking out, flowing over the door and onto the paving outside. Walking in through the automatic door which is also red and part of the giant tongue is an intense experience which felt a tad uncomfortable. Once within the gallery you encounter Hariton Pushwagner's first solo exhibition outside of Norway; Pushwagner:Soft City.

The exhibition is full of pop art/ post-modernist images in a mix of mediums including animation, silk screen prints and paintings. Some are grey whilst others have that 80's Athena vibrancy going on.

The key theme is how we live mass produced lives of conformity. As the gallery guide says it is a "critique of power, money or greed".

It was an exhibition which made me smile and think and so I would definitely recommend it.
