Reduction and reflection

Yesterday I started on my flat. It gives you some idea of the task if I say that I took 2 sacks of stuff down to the charity shop, 5 bags of textiles to the recycling, put several recycling sacks outside ready for collection and had one full sack of stuff that I couldn't recycle (and that was all from one room). I dread to think what will happen when I tackle Third Party's room next.

What really struck me as I was doing this was the amount of sheer crap I've gathered which I don't need and for some time haven't used.

As I see there are two things I need to do to stop my room getting in the same state again (i) simplify my lifestyle and start really taking notice of what I've got and stop just getting "stuff" & (ii) sort my life out so I give a little more time over to regular cleaning, rather than all day sessions when even I get fed up with it.
