Avoidance and discovery

This weeks commuter read has been a wonderful piece of modern classic literature, which I had managed to successfully avoid for a decade. Not only had I avoided the book but I had equally avoided the whole tv programme which resulted from it. However, now I think that I may well investigate whether the 7 seasons of the tv series were as good as the book because it truly is classic chick lit. (Ok, well possibly not quite classic - in the way Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones books are classic and in a class of their own IMHO- but still quite good).

What am I waffling on about? Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell.

Music wise the NME this week has a CD with it, containing a range of Canadian "indy" music. Obviously a journalist wanted to justify a trip out there and so decided Canada is the next big thing (yes all of it !!!). Still in places not a bad CD.
