This talk by Tony Campolo was given at Greenbelt 2001 and was not one, I think, I attended - although as it was a decade ago it is quite possible I was there and can't remember. The subject of the talk is "What Can We do About Homophobia?". I referred to this talk in a post a few days ago when looking at the diversity of thought within evangelicalism within the USA.

I want to say  less than usual about the talk apart from I agree with the majority of it and I think it is particularly useful. Where I differ from Campolo is on my interpretation of the bible regarding faithful, mongomous, loving same sex relationships. Rather than looking at how the interpretations differ now I address this by having the James Alison talk which changed my understanding, and possibly my life as tomorrows talk. It is a pity that the questions at the end cannot be heard but this is something Greenbelt have addressed since by asking those involved in q&a to come to a microphone now. To understand why I think this talk is so useful and important I just refer you to my own story which I have given and linked to before on here.
