There comes a point when it all starts to slow down and becomes an ickle less mad. When the streams of students are replaced by all the jobs you need to do. When from the mass of paper which has turned into something resembling modern art you somehow manage to extract the correct sheets from on a daily basis becomes a desk again with actual wood underneath that you can see and when that urgent job you needed to get done actually does.
In the mist of this people start to actually pause and chat to each other. At home you find that things called weekends and evenings actually start to exist again and not just through the guilt filled haze of totally exhaustion where you can't even manage to take the marking out of your bag.
Yes we are reaching that time of year which means I suppose I should now be turning my attention to getting the dis finally written up and submitted. Please feel free to occassionally nag me and enquire about its progress in an effort to make me feel that I really have to get it done rather than find new methods of procrastination (such as inviting my friends round for a tea, toast and prayer evening next week as I will be child free).
