As somebody who has queued outside a store for several hours one Christmas to purchase a Tellytubby and overnight on one occassion to buy football tickets (it was the playoff final at Wembley) I understand about queues.
It seems this year though that rather than queuing for events or toys to make Christmas day just that ickle bit more bearible that women are now queuing to satisfy their own needs. It appears what was the mundane has suddenly turned into the ultimate luxury item and we will queue for it.
I realised this when twice yesterday I found my self engaged in conversations about people queuing for No 7 Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum (see this BBC article) .
Remember this is coming hot on the heels of the queues for the designer "I am not a carrier bag" shopping bags (see this This is London article).
Let's wait and see which household item we'll be queuing for next.
