Apparently this is an international day when the United Nations focuses attention on environmental issues. I think it says alot about the promotion of and effectiveness of days like this when I would have known nothing about it if I hadn't actually decided to read one of the junk e-mails I recieved from the Lib Dems.
The politicians see today as an opportunity to market their policies and knock the opposition whilst the rest of us live in blissful ignorance. Sums up everything really, no wonder the world is such a mess.
I was going to leave it there, but realised it's just too cynical. So I'm going to go off and think about one thing I might be able to do today to help make a more environmentally friendly world. I encourage you to do the same.
