The Church of Christ the Cornerstone in Milton Keynes is celebrating its 20th anniversary this week. In case people aren't aware of what Cornerstone is the following from the website is useful:

"The Church of Christ the Cornerstone was the first ecumenical city centre church in the United Kingdom. There are covenants which bring together the Church of England, the Baptist Union, the Methodist Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the United Reformed Church in a partnership which was seen as an important step forward for the Ecumenical movement in the UK."

Over the weekend Margaret Barker did some interesting lectures on The Temple and its influence. They can be found on the church FB page. My own view was they were interesting in a kind of enjoying Miss Marple explain the case way, but somehow I felt the meat was never gotten to because of the sauce (sources) around it. The application was alluded to but not made explicit.

7:30 Tuesday will see a really good celebration/ thanksgiving service where Bishop John Pritchard is preaching and which is sub-titled as having a vision for the future. Really thankful I have to be heading down south on Tuesday ready for Wednesday anyway and so will get to celebrate the actual birthday with the community in the church of the concrete cows.
