Well I'm back from my adventures up to the (mainly) dry and rather warm north and am sitting looking at the rain outside my window.

Basic themes of my week have been museums, wine, food, having a laugh with one of the best people I know, doing a bit of art, bit of film, touch of politics and being generally a cheesy member of the cultured middle classes.

To put a bit more detail to it: Bard in the Botanics was a rather good production of Othello played in greenhouse. Rather surreal to all troupe out to the public loos in the interval. Hadn't see the play before though, and really enjoyed it.

Popped over to the Cut the Carbon rally Christian Aid were organising in Edinburgh and got just an ickle wet. On the train on the way back had an amazing chat with a couple of folks who were involved in the Faslane campaign.

Did the whole Charles Rennie Mackintosh thing (Scotland Street School, Tea Rooms, and Mackintosh House).

Had a wonderful laugh, (as well as enjoying the view in all senses), going to the Glasgow Film Theatre to see Moliere. - Best film I've seen in a long time, real chick flick.

Oh and I bought the odd book, (expect a review or two soon).
