Taking risks, reaping rewards

I've talked before on here a bit about my story: average school kid drops out of 6th form, gets married too young, decides to go to uni, has kid whilst @ uni, gets average office job, husband legs it, becomes single mum on benefit and happy pills, moves across country and goes back to uni, becomes a teacher in FE, has a dream so goes back to uni part time, gets new full time job with a bit of responsibility, mum dies, completes dream by distance learning whilst working full time.

What I realise I haven't done too much of though is sharing with people the wonderful stuff I've learnt along the way. I don't mean the academic stuff, but rather the how to survive and how to take risks and reap the rewards stuff. I'm beginning to realise that God has blessed me with a life story which is quite rich in experience, and that I have practical and motivational stuff to share. To say simply that I got from a to b by accident or hard work or that it was all down to the wonderful support I recieved from others is too simple, there was practical and emotional stuff involved which might, just might, be able to help others.

Therefore, this blog is taking a new direction for a while. What I'll be doing is looking back on my story and what worked well and what didn't and so, hopefully, sharing some practical advice which might, just might help somebody else.
