To the East there lies an island, where gatherings and the settling of tribal scores will be a rarity this season. Fixture list for Ipswich shows that the nearest we get to a league "derby" match is against Peterborough, although West Ham and Chrystal Palace are probably geographically just as near.
In terms of "the other team" Tottenham is possibly as near as they get to anything like a local outing. All in all a bit depressing and why - whether it's through us going up, (which would be nice), or them coming down, (which is probably more realistic) - it will be good if we are both in the same division next season. And yes I know that Southend and Colchester could have been mentioned, but I'm talking the big teams of the East and all that the two being in the same league gives.
