I have been taking some time out. As part of this I picked up A Campus Conspiracy by anonymous. It turned out to be a wonderfully interestingly funny book about a uni professor who gets shafted by the system and then shafts the system in return. This is followed up by Degrees R Us and I am currently on the final book of the trilogy, The Whistleblower.

There are several things about the book that have made me smile. Firstly, the description of the theologians. They seem to include composite sketches of several well known characters, although of course all are fictional. Then there are the educational politics. The culture of FE has undergone much of the same fate as HE recently and so I could identify with certain aspects of the politics and marketisation.

If you get the chance to read these books do. They are easy read and high in humour.
