Today has been tough for reasons it's not appropriate to go into on line. Sufficient to say I spent the journey between Durham and MK doing alot of thinking about the past, present, future and quite abit of praying. I was convinced that rather than making a few minor mistakes I had dug one sodding great hole and had shown without doubt why one possible road for the future would be completely the wrong one to take.
Then I arrived in MK. I had a hug of TOH and had a bit of her Northern Common Sense thrown in my direction. Then, still not convinced, I arrived at the house. There was a card here, it's home made and has a picture saying "Hope Square" on. It was an Easter card for TOH and I. The message inside was just what I needed to read today. Then I checked my e-mail. Within it was one where somebody had specifically tracked me down, using a favour from a friend, because they wanted details of MAZE for their organisation working with the LGBandT community. Their taking the trouble to track down the info touched me in a way I can't explain. It meant they thought MAZE is useful. Finally I found another card on the mat addressed to TOH and I, another Easter Card from a member of her small group. The message within it said this person was "praying for a great Holy Week" for us both.
None of these people could have known how much their cards or e-mail enquiries would be worth to me today. They have though pulled me out of a slight Eyore situation. I'm not that into signs and wonders but God does seem to have seriously used signs and smiles today.
