Not that Delirious but feeling kinda special

Rounding up the rest (or what happened on Monday):
Unexpected highlight of the festival was Duke Special . The festival friendly performance (which kinda sounded a tad like the Scissor Sisters on a slower speed) was the kind memories are made of.

Strangest experience of the festival was quite possibly dfg. I don't think I've ever seen anything this politically incorrect or offensive at Greenbelt before. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as they worked through a parody of emergent church in what one, I suppose, would describe as musical caberet. It wasn't the funniest thing I saw all weekend, but it was rather amusing, also it enabled me to avoid Delirious with a clear conscience.

Most useful experience of the festival was a seminarby Julie Johnson entitled "Why are they so wierd?" which was on the subject of teenagers (and how to parent them) . I was in that strange position of being desperate but dubious when I arranged at this seminar, (a feeling which increased when I found out it was a 2 hour seminar!). I knew I was at Greenbelt and so it should be ok, but I was worried about finding myself sitting listening to a smiley Christian who was talking about slightly more "functional" situations than mine has been recently. This didn't happen; the person doing the seminar was a professional and a mother who spoke my language. There was one bit of her talk which particularly resonated with my experience and I have to say it has, momentarily atleast, made me realise that I am not mad but my approach to certain issues actually makes sense even if everybody thinks I'm mad for taking it. It also made me realise that I might (just might) be doing the odd thing right in my approach to parenting (even if it doesn't always exactly seem that I am). - On the off chance that anybody reading this happens to know the person who did the seminar and has the relevent e-mail or PMing facilities (Ship people) to hook me up with this woman for me to get a bit of her advice on my specific situation I'd really appreciate it as I didn't have long to hang about after the talk and the queue to get her wisdom was very long (oh and the googling I've tried hasn't paid off this time).
Also huge thanks to those of you who gave hugs and friendship this weekend, it meant alot.

Final really wierd thing which happened at Greenbelt this year was I visited the bookshop on several occassions but didn't buy any books! I also came home without any talks (but may remedy this on line).
