Tatler is a great magazine to just sit, chill and and dream with. It takes you into a fairy tale world of wonder where everybody is beautiful and successful. I enjoy the pure escapism that it can give and the fact there is a gentle self-mocking of high society within it. Amid all the pictures the articles / interviews have the quality of a weekend supplement.

The adverts which make up the majority of the first 70 pages (I kid you not), I think, can actually be viewed as art and wouldn't be out of place in the Tate Modern. Most of them are beautiful photographs whose only wording is the name of a classic brand.

It's one of those magazines if you want to switch your brain off, put on some gentle music, stretch out on the sofa with a glass and some munchies and just chill.
