Theatrical Poetry and Change

Been continuing through Job (8:1-14:22) over the last couple of days. I love the drama and would have liked to have seen the book live as a play. What I've enjoyed is the continuing discourse between the friends and Job and the way that it sort of reflects the way good Christians talk to non-Christians.

Matthew has moved from 19:16-20:9 and Jesus cuts to the chase. God can help people change but as God he has the right  to show love to who the heck he likes when he likes. The scene has then changed and the readings are now looking to the cross.

Proverbs 3:11 - 20 and Psalm 17:6 - 12 are both interesting bits.

The key question emerging from the NT reading yesterday was what is discipline, biblically and how does it operate? I think the key is boundary setting but as todays reading shows God does not enforce a clear boundary guard, rather he welcomes all at whatever stage of the process.
